On My Radar
/The people of the Midwest never cease to amaze me. Instead of showcasing just one cool Midwesterner this week, I decided to focus on other websites/Instagram accounts I'm obsessed with. Check out some killer Midwestern content:
Erika Veurink is one of my favorite people, so it only makes sense that her website is one of my favorites. Reading Erika's articles feels like listening to her speak – a true mark of an excellent writer. I could read about her documentary recommendations and road trip recaps forever. Don't even get me started on her Love Letters series...
I've proclaimed my love for Say Hello To The City and its founder, Evan Olson, before, but the site has been on hiatus since April while Evan took some time to refocus. It sounds like he has some exciting things in store for his Des Moines-dedicated site, and I can't wait to see it all unfold.
I started following Wit & Delight back when I was in college, and it was still a personal blog ran by Kate Arends in St. Paul, Minnesota. Wit & Delight has since evolved into an established brand "dedicated to designing a life well lived." It's easy to get lost in this killer website, and I love knowing that it's being run by a team of cool women in Minneapolis.
4. @WHATMKEWORE
@WhatMKEWore is a new Instagram account I'm really excited about. Marian, the founder, uses Instagram to highlight everyday fashion around Milwaukee in a photojournalistic manner. It's like a fashion blog meets Humans of New York. I love the concept and can't wait to watch it grow.
5. @MINDYPLAZ
There are so many cool and talented fashion bloggers in the Midwest, but I've been obsessed with keeping up with @MindyPlaz for the past few months. Her content always manages to stand out and look fresh and exciting on my Instagram feed. Check out her chic life in Minneapolis.
I've said it before, and I'll say it again – I'm so nosy, and I love seeing what the inside of people's houses look like. When I first saw Megan Schlachtenhaufen's home tour on Glitter Guide, I immediately followed her on Instagram and have never looked back. Her house is so cool and cozy, and I always get some kind of decor inspiration whenever I check out Megan's account.
